Job Summary
We are hiring a full-time Line Cook for our lunch service designed for culinary professionals who value balance as much as excellence.
As a Line Cook at Bardstown Bourbon Company, you will prepare and execute dishes to our exacting standards while working in a focused, high-performance kitchen. You will operate within a chef-driven environment where every plate reflects the same precision and pride we bring to our whiskey.
This role offers something rare in hospitality: meaningful culinary work without the late-night grind. You will contribute to a nationally recognized brand, finish your shift in time to enjoy your evening, and be part of a team that takes both food and culture seriously.

Responsibilities
- Must be able to work well under pressure in a demanding, fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Execute service with speed and precision during peak daytime periods, including weekends.
- Carve and trim meats such as beef, pork and lamb for hot or cold service, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Taste and evaluate all prepared foods to ensure they meet our standards for flavor, doneness and presentation.
- Maintain the highest health, sanitation and cleanliness standards in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines.
- Weigh, measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef direction, using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Minimize food waste and manage portion control through clear communication with front-of-house partners.
- Prepare dishes that are safe, fresh, visually compelling and consistently excellent. Maintain that standard from first ticket to final plate.
- Properly store, label and date all food items. Maintain product safety and freshness at all times.
- Ensure all products are stocked for the following day and properly defrosted as needed.
- Prepare mise en place for the next day to ensure efficient, seamless service.
- Create and maintain a prep list to support next-day readiness and kitchen organization.
- Support inventory management by proactively identifying low-stock items and communicating needs before shortages occur.
- Ensure dishes, utensils, pots and pans are washed, sanitized and stored properly. Assist with dishwashing when necessary.
- Leave the kitchen better than you found it. All surfaces cleaned and sanitized. All food properly stored. All tools accounted for.
- Commitment to the Company’s ISO program, including quality and food safety standards.
- Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning protocols across shelving, appliances, containers and floors.
- Operate as a true team player. Hospitality is a team sport.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
