Food Pantry Assistant Manager
St. Vincent de Paul Outreach Ministries FOOD PANTRY ASSISTANT MANAGER 32 hours/week $18.25/hour General Description: Under the supervision of the Food Pantry Manager, manage the Meals from the Heart program and be able to complete daily operating activities of the Food Pantries. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: A. Meals from the Heart 1. Interview, orient, and supervise qualified volunteers for service in the Meals from the Heart program. 2. Manage qualified clients based on assessment tool score. 3. Complete daily tasks of ordering meals, updating spreadsheets, scheduling drivers and meal pickup. 4. Assure that the driver escalation policy is followed. 5. Perform regular follow-up to keep the service census accurate. 6. Ensure that individual client management software information is updated by third business day of the month. Review for accuracy. B. CSFP Program (Senior Box) 1. Follow Feeding America guidelines for client assistance. 2. Track client usage of the senior box program. Send recertifications and disqualifications, following CSFP guidelines. 3. Prepare the checklist for 4th Wednesday distribution day. 4. Maintain senior box counts for on time reporting. C. Daily Operation of the Food Pantries 1. Be able to perform critical activities in the absence of the Food Pantry Manager. Required Skills: 1. Proficiency with Microsoft office, especially Excel. 2. Ability to lift 50lbs. 3. Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with the elderly.
