Human Resource Generalist
Mago Construction Company is a family-owned asphalt paving contractor based out of Bardstown, KY with asphalt plants, two rock quarries, and construction operations throughout the state of Kentucky.
We seek to add a Human Resources Generalist to the team! The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Maintain working knowledge of current hiring needs throughout all areas and departments within the Company.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings; identify and forecast future hiring needs.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding processes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the Company culture.
- Execute human resources management tasks including maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance.
- Serve as back-up for payroll processing.
- Review and track employee evaluations. Complete 60 day new hire check ins.
- Assist with benefits during open enrollment and for new hires upon eligibility.
- Facilitate employee engagement programs and initiatives.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to inform decisions related to human capital, improve processes; develop new processes and initiatives. Ensure accurate data collection practices.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or minimum 5 years' experience in HR.
- HR Certification preferred.
- Proven experience in human resources management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of employee orientation processes and best practices in talent acquisition.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, data entry, and human capital management principles.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement in HR practices.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
