Warehouse/Logistics Manager

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will oversee and manage the operations of the warehouse and logistics department.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Hires and supervises warehouse and logistics team and responsible for all departmental functions.

· Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the department.

· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

· Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Develops the warehouse and logistics department to provide a variety of services including warehousing, distribution, transportation, materials management, and fulfillment services.

· Gathers needed information on and understanding of customer demands; meets specific needs for transloading, just-in-time shipping, inventory management, distribution, and fulfillment.

· Builds and maintains relationships with all departments to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reductions.

· Identifies problems and inefficiencies in the materials management and logistics processes; Developing and implementing changes in the process and procedure to ensure all material handling and logistic functions operate efficiently with a sense of urgency.

· Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service to clients.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Proficient with computer-based management systems for inventory control, shipping operations, materials management.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software as well as WMS systems.

Education and Experience:

. High School degree or equivalent required.

· Ten years of experience in distribution or transportation industry required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of standing, walking and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
