Mago Construction Company is a family-owned and operated construction contractor and materials producer based out of Bardstown, KY with site grading, asphalt paving, road and utility construction operations throughout the state of Kentucky.

Duties:

  • Lay and install underground and above-ground pipelines using heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and front loader trucks
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately position pipelines according to specifications
  • Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, excavators, forklifts, and pipe lasers to facilitate precise pipeline placement with proper trenching and shoring techniques.
  • Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks around pipeline installations to ensure stability and durability
  • Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins
  • Use welding skills for pipe joining and repair work when necessary
  • Maintain pipeline integrity by inspecting installations and performing necessary adjustments or repairs
  • Collaborate with team members on site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations
  • Assist with plumbing and concrete finishing tasks as required on the project site
  • Support pipeline testing processes such as pressure testing to verify proper installation

Experience

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and pipe lasers in construction or oil & gas projects
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings related to pipeline installation
  • Hands-on experience with concrete forming, finishing, welding, utility locating, and plumbing systems
  • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards
  • Prior work experience in pipeline projects within the oil & gas industry or utility sectors is highly desirable
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
