Teller

Summary The teller will provide quality customer service and handle all paying and receiving money as well as accurately keep records of money and negotiable instruments involved in a financial institution’s various transactions. Essential Functions · Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements. · Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability. · Identify counterfeit currency. · Cash checks and process savings withdrawals. · Balance cash drawer daily. · Maintain teller drawer cash limits by buying and selling currency from the Vault. · Determine customer banking needs and offers appropriate products and services (cross-selling). · Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions. · Maintain a professional work ethic and appearance in keeping with the bank’s goals and objectives. · Other duties as necessary Qualifications · High school graduate or equivalent required.
