Teller

Summary The teller will provide quality customer service and handle all paying and receiving money as well as accurately keep records of money and negotiable instruments involved in a financial institution’s various transactions. Essential Functions • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements. • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability. • Identify counterfeit currency. • Cash checks and process savings withdrawals. • Balance cash drawer daily. • Maintain teller drawer cash limits by buying and selling currency from the Vault. • Determine customer banking needs and offers appropriate products and services (cross-selling). • Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions. • Maintain a professional work ethic and appearance in keeping with the bank’s goals and objectives. • Other duties as necessary Qualifications • High school graduate or equivalent required. • Minimum 6 months customer service experience preferred. • Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience preferred. • Detail oriented and organized. • Proficient computer skills preferred. • Strong listening and communication skills required.
