Position is part-time nights, various hours. Pay rate $14.50 with $1.00 differential for nights.
Department: Assisted living
Supervisor: Resident service director
Qualification preferred
Education: High school graduate preferred, aide certification preferred.
Experience: Related aide-type duties, geriatric experience preferred.
Working conditions: Office and residential setting environment; resident care related duties; light lifting; routine engagement with residents, staff and visitors.
Summary of Duties:
Responsible for providing the direct personal assistance and supervision needed by resident, including assisting residents when necessary on an individual basis with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating , walking , toileting and attending to any personal needs the resident may be incapable of or unable to attend to for themselves.
Encourage residents to participate in their care. Our goal is to keep our residents as high functioning as possible. We assist as needed.
Respond immediately in case of an accident or incident involving a resident and make a proper report of the incident.
Communicate with fellow staff and supervisor in regard to any changes in Residents condition or any unusual circumstances or incidents.
Each aide will be given their assignment on the schedule. Aides will be assigned either to group 1 or group 2 or placed in the Dining room as the dining room attendant. Answer Residents pages in a timely manner.
Must be able to do laundry and general cleaning.
Continual residents monitoring on a 24- hour basis.
Occasional, non-routine housekeeping tasks, such as: wiping up a water spill, cleaning out refrigerators, wiping out hand rails, cleaning screened porches, etc.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the associate’s supervisor.
Serving residents meals during meal times and picking up dishes to be washed in a timely manner. One staff member is to be in the dining room at all times to monitor residents.
All aides are required to be the dining room during dining room hours unless there is a resident that needs immediate attention.
In the event of an emergency, our staff may have to go to a room to check on a resident that has called for help.
Responsible for knowing the duties during emergency situations. The evacuation plans are available to all staff at any given time.
