Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial concepts and the ability to analyze tax information.

Duties

  • Prepare individual and business tax returns
  • Communicate with clients regarding their tax situation
  • Use various forms on client provided information to prepare tax returns
  • Answer tax- and finance-related questions
  • Research new tax trends and regulations
  • Advise individuals and companies on tax strategies
  • Address IRS and state tax notices

Requirements & Experience

  • Previous experience in public accounting/tax preparer.
  • Good knowledge of tax preparation software, particularly ProSeries
  • Advanced MS Office skills (particularly in using Excel)
  • Comprehensive understanding of government tax laws
  • Excellent computational ability
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Tax prep: 3 years (Required)
