Hardin Memorial Health Update
Hardin Memorial Health Foundation accepting donations of equipment and dollars to support COVID-19 response
The Hardin Memorial Health Foundation (HMHF) created a new fund to support caregivers and patients during the COVID-19 outbreak. The COVID-19 Emergency Fund will provide additional resources needed to address the pandemic at Hardin Memorial Health’s (HMH) hospital and at medical group offices including the HMH Bardstown Family Medical Center.
“People and companies in our community ask how they can help with the COVID-19 crisis,” said Matthew Stiles, M.D., physician at HMH Bardstown Family Medical Center. “By making a donation to the HMH Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Fund, donors will ensure that money directly impacts care in our clinic.”
Individuals, community groups and local businesses can make monetary donations online at ourhmh.org to the COVID-19 Emergency Fund. Donors can designate that their gift go to help patients and providers at HMH Bardstown Family Medical Center.
“The need is great right now for commercially manufactured personal protective equipment (PPE) as well,” said Angela Ballard, APRN and HMH Foundation Board Member. “If you have supplies you can donate to help us care for patients, just connect with the HMH Foundation.”
Due to infection control prevention standards, HMH can only accept commercially manufactured PPE such as gloves, masks, gowns, and face shields. Commercially manufactured PPE donations can be arranged by contacting the HMH Foundation at 270.706.6769 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donors may also mail checks to HMH Foundation, 913 North Dixie Avenue, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. All donations are 100 percent tax deductible.
